We have walked for 8 days and today we passed the 100 mile mark. So, there are only approximately 2550 miles left 😉 This afternoon we are sitting in a Community Centre in Walker Springs where we have power and internet connection again.
The weather was unusually cold for the season in the first three days, so we got through the first part of southern California in wind and clouds. But in the last few days, we’ve had the authentic desert experience where you get up at 5am to be off in the twilight before sunrise, and rest some hours in the middle of the day before doing the last miles in afternoon.
The route often follows the hillsides high up, so we see some amazing views and all kinds of desert.
